Format, the 72/120 written mark, the 22/40 oral, and the one-year carry-over are on the CELI 2 page.
Quick Answer
Under CVCL’s regolamento (section 4.1), results are communicated about 90 working days from the date CVCL receives the exam papers — not from the day you sat — and extra checks can take longer if there are serious irregularities on the answer sheets. You check the outcome in the reserved area on www.cvcl.it with matricola and date of birth; your centre also receives the result, including component scores. For B1 and above the final outcome is reported as letter grades: A (ottimo), B (buono) and C (sufficiente) mean you passed and receive the certificate; D and E mean you did not. The official certificate is electronic: CVCL issues it and sends it to the centre, which must forward the PDF to you. A provisional document from the candidate area is not the official certificate and is not sufficient for administrative procedures. The regolamento does not state an expiry date for the certificate — official copy stays limited to what CVCL publishes.
Timeline and where you look
Anchor expectations to receipt of papers at CVCL, not to your travel home from the centre. If packets are delayed or flagged, the clock and any fraud checks follow the official wording — not a forum guess tied to the written date.
- Online reserved area (matricola + date of birth) for the outcome candidates see.
- Exam centre: holds the same result, including per-part scores — useful if you need human confirmation while a portal update lags.
Letter grades (B1 and above)
A–C: pass band — you receive the certificate. D–E: fail band — no certificate for that attempt. This letter scale applies from B1 upward; do not assume A1/A2 use the same labels.
Electronic certificate vs provisional file
Treat the centre-forwarded PDF as the administrative artefact for consulates and comuni. Keep copies in more than one storage path. Questions about results and certificate flows that are not answered by the portal copy go to certificazione@unistrapg.it alongside the dedicated notice on the CVCL site.
Plan the next step
If you need the numeric pass rule while you wait, reread CELI 2 structure (72/120 written + 22/40 oral), then retake and carry-over for capitalizzazione timing.
While files are with CVCL, replay the CELI 2 mock preview so the next sitting starts from steady habits.
